"American
Pie 2"

Take
a trip back to band camp. I think a second helping
of "American Pie" was better than the first.
In
a rare move in Hollywood today a movie that made a
ton of unexpected money spawned a sequel, no that's
not the rare event. The rare thing is that all the
people from the first film returned, and I'm not just
talking about the main cast but a lot of the extras
as well.
"American
Pie 2" opens with a laugh and you never stop
laughing. The humor is rude and crude but it is done
in such a sweet way that it doesn't come across with
the Farrelly brothers or Tom Green flair. You care
about the characters, you want good things to happen
to them.
The
story picks up as the guys are finishing their freshman
year of college and get ready to enjoy their first
summer back home.
It
is so easy to feel comfortable with the characters
that you can see yourself in them.
There
is not a lot to say about this movie other than it
saves the teen comedy genre in a big way. It is a
hysterical movie with heart.
One
last note which was nice to see. At the preview screening
I was at the theater was checking I.D. and making
sure kids were not allowed in without an adult.
Have
another slice of Pie.
