"Dude, Where's My Car?"

By Ted Pfeifer

Dude Where's My Car?" delivers exactly what it advertises. A dumb bad movie with plenty of outrageously funny scenes.

These are the hard movies for some critics to review because they grade them on quality. But I grade on quatity of laughs. I believe in giving the filmmakers the benefit of the doubt. The did not go into this trying to make an Oscar winning film. They went into it trying to make some money and to make people laugh. And that is just what it does. The plot is pretty simple. Take two stoners, have them wake up one morning and find that their car is missing. Then have a bunch of funny characters and situations confront them as they try to find out what happened the night before.

Ashton Kutcher of "That 70's Show" and Seann William Scott of "American Pie" and "Road Trip" deliver fun performances and happen to be very believable as a 90's version of Cheech and Chong. Don't pay full price for this because it isn't as good as the previously mentioned "American Pie" or "Road Trip" but it is worth going with a group of friends and paying the cheap fee.
