"Austin Powers in Goldmember" is a fun clever film.

It takes the old jokes from the first two Powers films and makes them fresh. And if they can't freshen them up they still use them and let the audience in on the fact that we have seen it before.

I had more fun with this years other spy spoof "Undercover Brother" because it was uncharted territory. But I still can't take anything away from Mike Myers and his characters.

Myers plays, Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, Goldmember, and Fat Bastard. He brings energy into all of his creations and knows what works and does not work with each of them.

As always with sequels some steam is lost in the jokes and the laughs are not as big. Although at one hour and thirty minutes it doesn't have much time to slow down.

Michael Caine plays Nigel Powers, the father of Austin who is kidnapped by Dr. Evil and Goldmember. Beyonce Knowles is the Powers babe this time around, Foxxy Cleopatra.

The story is of course Austin trying to stop Dr. Evil from trying to take over the world.

Mini-Me is back as well as the Evil Doctors henchmen and son Scott.

There is not much more you can say about the movie. I can't sit here and critique it on anything other than the fact that it is a third film of the same character. It is not as funny as the first or second but still keeps the character alive and well and sets up a chance for a fourth. If they decide to have a fourth I will be there.

Beware, there are plenty of cameos, some you may or may not have heard of. All of them come off great.

"Austin Powers in Goldmember" is a fun addition to the Powers catalog.
