"Ladies Man " Give it a Chance.

By Ted Pfeifer

Tim Meadows brings his Saturday Night Live character to the big screen. And in my own opinion he did a great job of it.

"The Ladies Man" is one of those movies that is not made for critics to like and give great marks to. It is a film that knows what it is and just does it. No one is trying to win awards with this movie, they just want to have fun and hope to make some money in the mean time. Meadows plays Leon Phelps, aka, the Ladies Man. He has a talk radio show and gives his love and sex advice over the air.

A few minutes into the film, he gets fired and is on the lookout for a new gig. He also is on the lookout for the perfect woman, which of course consists of a great body and lots of money. Along the way a band of upset men are on the trail of Phelps looking to get revenge, for he has slept with the groups wives and girlfriends.

Will Ferrell leads the group on a Ladies Man hunt and he is the central part of one of the most unexpected scenes in any movie of recent memory. The audience I saw the film with absolutely loved it although like any other movie of this kind, they will bash it when it is over. Most critics will call it the regular old SNL skit that had promise and then crashed and burned. Well I say give "The Ladies Man" a chance and have fun.
