Join the Fellowship and see one the best movies of this or any year, "The Lord of the Rings".

In a brave undertaking New Line Cinema and Peter Jackson decided to take on one of the most beloved stories of all time. And not just one story but all three in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. They made all three films back to back to back and are banking that the first installment "The Fellowship of the Ring" will ring the cash registers with enough money to pay for the other two.

After seeing this movie it will be an easy goal to reach. "The Lord of the Rings" is an epic film with grace, style and vision. Jackson directs every scene with a passion that you only get when you feel strongly about the work you are doing.

The acting, directing, writing, effects, scenery and everything else makes this an amazing experience. This is no Harry Potter. This film takes you deep into the world these characters live in and makes you feel a part of it. There are plenty of high tension moments and some parts will make you jump.

Elijah Woods stars as Frodo Baggins who is unfortunately for him, given the duty to return the ring that possesses ultimate evil back to the place it was made, all the while dodging ghouls, goblins, phantoms and an army of pure evil. Now Frodo is a hobbit, about the size of a dwarf but with a heart as big as the world.

This first story of the trilogy tells the tale of how he came into the ring and how he was selected to take the ring to its resting place, along with how he hooked up with a group that would forever be known as the Fellowship of the Ring.

As most people know the story I will not get into what happens but I will tell you that the cast is superb, led by Woods along with Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Liv Tyler, Cate Blanchett and more.

"The Lord of the Rings" should make every top 10 list for 2001 and could very possibly find itself on the list of nominees for an Academy Award for Best Picture. Which if the makers thought the pressure was on them for this one, if they walk away with the trophy that will add all the more pressure for the next two installments which just happen to be releasing around this time in 2002 and 2003.

I tell you to go see this movie whether your read the books or not, you will be in for an amazing movie going experience.
(Also the x rating is on there for a reason, think before you take your kids)
