"The Powerpuff Girls Movie" is exactly what you would think, a long cartoon.

But the movie is a kick in the pants, we get to find out how Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup were created and named. We also learn the origin of Mojo Jojo.

The movie has fun with its characters and steals lines and visuals from "Planet of the Apes" and "King Kong" as Mojo Jojo leads an army of monkeys and apes in an attempt to take over the city of Townsville.

My kids watch the cartoon at home on the Cartoon Network and of course were all keyed up for the movie, and it delivered to their wants and needs.

There is also a short film before hand of "Dexter's Laboratory" that is pretty funny.

Is it worth $5 or $7 for a long cartoon? Probably not, you might as well wait for video.
