"Rugrats
in Paris" Enough Inside Jokes for Parents to Stay Awake.
If you have
read any of my reviews for kids movies before then you will know that
I let my five year old son do the reviewing. I watch him react during
the film and then we talk about what he liked and didn't like afterwards.
My feeling is that the best way to let people know if "Rugrats in Paris"
is good is to let me express my sons take on it. First off I will give
you the plot, Chuckie is in search of a new mom because all of the others
kids mothers are alive.
It is done in a very touching way that most adults will understand but
kids probably won't. So some things transpire and the group is off to
Paris. My son truly enjoyed the movie, he laughed out loud at parts and
also curled up next to me in excitement at others. It is a very fun film.
One thing I did notice was that 45 minutes into the movie the kids in
the audience began to get restless but that only lasted a short time as
the action picked up again.
For adults, the movie is part "Godfather", part "Jurassic Park", part
"King Kong" and part "Godzilla" along with some fun jibes thrown in about
Disneland. In the end it is nice to know that if you have to go see "Rugrats"
with your kids there is enough inside jokes to keep you awake.
