"The Score "

By Ted Pfeifer

Three of the greatest actors of their respective generations come together to create one hell of a heist flick.

Marlon Brando, Robert DeNiro and Edward Norton play three slick criminals looking for the one big "Score". They have found it. Director Frank Oz has put together a classy take on the new age heist film.

The story is simple, DeNiro is an aged thief, he feels he has done all he needs to do and is ready to settle down and marry Angela Bassett. He owns a jazz club in Montreal and has enough money to get by.

Brando is DeNiro's mentor and is in need of help and money as he is in deep to another big crime guy. He tells DeNiro all he needs is this one last job done and the he will have his blessings to go off and do whatever he wants.

This is where Edward Norton comes in as the new partner who has been scoping out the location for the heist.

Great acting and directing is plentiful in this film. There are some good twists involved as well as so well timed laughs. The climax in tense and thrilling.

This movie will satisfy the adults who thoroughly enjoyed returning to theaters last year with "What Lies Beneath".
