"Shrek"
is about a big ugly ogre who doesn't want to be thought of
as just a big ugly ogre, he has layers. As does this movie.
"Shrek"
is Dreamworks major move against the animation folks over
at Disney. Jeffrey Katzenberg who was shown the door at Disney
and helped create Dreamworks know his Disney animated movies
and takes shots at them left and right.
There
is a lot of fun and at Disneys expense and most of it your
kids won't understand and that is what makes it such a good
film. It works on many levels, it plays great to the kids
and has enough adult humor for the parents.
The
soundtrack is wonderful and the voice work by Mike Myers and
Eddie Murphy gives the movie a kick, not to mention Cameron
Diaz and John Lithgow as well.
"Shrek"
is a whole lot of fun and is worth seeing numerous times,
just like my kids want to.
