"The 6th Day" Not Your Usual Arnold Action Flick.

By Ted Pfeifer

Arnold Schwarzenegger goes from "End of Days" to "The 6th Day" and we are all better off from it. If anyone saw "End of Days" then you know what I am talking about.

"The 6th Day" is an inventive new film that takes on the issue of cloning. Not only cloning animals but humans as well. Schwarzenegger stars as a man wrongly cloned and then must fight the bad guys for the rest of the film to get his life and family back. This movie is more of a thought provoking drama/thriller than a good old Arnold action flick.

The effects are amazing and the acting isn't that bad either. Robert Duvall, Michael Rooker, Michael Rapaport and Tony Goldwin round out a string cast. Director Roger Spotiswoode delivers good pacing and stylish direction. As in "Total Recall", "Starship Troopers" and "RoboCop", there are some very clever and of course sarcastic looks into our future through the use of televison commercials and sporting events during the film.

This movie delves into the issue of cloning and make good points for both sides of the argument. It finally comes down to the fact of if a clone has a soul or not. That in the end is up for you to decide. While "The 6th Day" may not be the best film out there it does at least make you think.
